Tulsa Raceway Park - A Highlight of Edelbrock Sick 66

TULSA RACEWAY PARK A HIGHLIGHT OF EDELBROCK SICK 66

A 1300-mile, Route 66-inspired drag-and-drive event will roll into Tulsa Raceway Park on Sunday October 13, 2025 with the running of Edelbrock Sick 66.

Almost 300 racers, plus over 100 cruisers, will take over Tulsa Raceway Park, competing to run the best time of the day. Drag-and-drive events feature the quickest street legal cars in the country testing their capabilities not just at the track but also on the highways. Each entrant is required to drive their car between the six venues for Edelbrock Sick 66, with no haulers or outside support allowed. The winner is the competitor with the lowest average time across the six tracks that make up the week-long event: Ozark Raceway Park, Mo-Kan Dragway, Tulsa Raceway Park, Amarillo Dragway, Albuquerque Dragway and Alien City Dragway.
Edelbrock Sick 66 has been put together by the team at Sick The Magazine, who dreamed up the greatest driving route they could imagine for an event. Sick The Magazine publisher and six-times Hot Rod Drag Week champion Tom Bailey said the event is just as much about the adventure as the racing.

"Edelbrock Sick 66 is going to be full of genuine street cars going incredibly quick, a real show for race fans," he said. "Tulsa Raceway Park is one of the premier facilities in the country and one all of our racers are lucky to compete at. I think it might be our quickest stop of the six drag strips taking part in this event."

Competition is expected to be tight at the top. Last year's Death Week champion Jason Rousseau will return in his Malibu, but he will face stiff opposition from the likes of Rocky Mountain Race Week champion Tom McGilton and Rick Steinke's turbocharged Chevelle. They will be joined by some well-known faces in unusual rides, such as engine builder Steve Morris in a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer.

"The variety of cars that spectators get to see is the best part of Edelbrock Sick 66," Bailey said. "There's some really fast street cars and the best part is that people can watch them on the track and then follow us along the highways to some of the checkpoints too. I recommend getting to the track early, watching some of the hitters, walking the pits and then drive with us for a few miles."
Spectator tickets are now available online at www.sickthemagazine.com/sick-66, with a $5 saving for pre-purchase.
